Do i have sleep insomnia?
im 15 and for about 3 years now i go to bed during the school year that is at about 9 30, but it takes me hours to fall asleep...sometimes i fall asleep at 11 if i am completely exhausted , sometimes i don't fall asleep til as late as 2 am. i also dont sleep for very long. on week ends and in the summer i usually fall asleep at around 1 2 am, but i still wake up at 8 every morning....in YOUR opinion do u think im an insomniac?

I'am 22 and I have serious sleeping problems when I close my eyes for about 5 minutes all of a sudden I get up and start shaking and feeling confused and I start having breathing problems it's like some sort of sleep panic or something i start feeling like their is something on my chest resting is their anybody who can tell me what I'm dealing with i am scared been like this for a year now is this insomnia?

Does stress cause sleep insomnia?
whenever i have been stressed out, i cannot sleep and when i say that i mean i lay in my bed for ages like longest was 3hrs looking into the darkness, and worst of all, still thinking about the thing that was stressing me out. Could not take it any longer so i got up and watched tv until i drifted to sleep on the couch. I know this isn't like full insomnia because when im not stressed i sleep perfectly. But if this continues to happen, will it lead to actual insomnia where i cant sleep for no reason. Like i could feel perfectly fine but unable to sleep. any answers appreciated umm i didnt thumbs down you..im only level 1.

For the past week I have only been sleeping about 2 3 hours a night. I just cant sleep i get really uncomfortable and hot and i keep tossing and turning and im soooo tired the next day working. and i dont take any naps when i get home but by the time night hits and i get into bed my sleepness totally goes away and im awake if i do fall asleep i wake up SEVERAL times. whats been going on? i want my sleep back to normal

I'm 14 now and probably for about the past 2 3 years I haven't had a good sleep. Every night I lie in bed for hours. Sometimes I look at the clock on my wall and just watch the time go by. I usually lie in bed for 2 and a half to 4 hours. One time I didn't fall asleep for 7 hours. When it first started I thought nothing of it. I told my mum, and she said it would pass, but that was years ago, and I'm almost in year 10, meaning I really have to focus on my schoolwork and studies, but it's extremely difficult when I only get 5 hours of sleep ever night. What's really strange is that during the day I'm so tired, even walking to my bed I'm tired, but as soon as I hop in I feel wide awake. I've tried getting a bit of sleep during the day, when I feel tired but the same thing happens. I think I could be paranoid, because I close my eyes and lie down, and as soon as I hear a noise I open my eyes and look around, then I close my eyes, hear a noise look around again. I also wake up throughout the night for short periods of time,probably about 10 minutes every 2 hours. I have to get up for school at 7 00am and every time my alarm goes off I feel like I'm still asleep, but I have to get up and get ready for school, so I usually walk around the house with one eye open. In the holidays I sleep in to about 10 00am, and I still feel tired as I still haven't had a proper night sleep.I really don't want to take sleeping medication, but if it gets any worse then I'll have to. I'm open to suggestions, so please share everything you know.Thanks, Abby

I can never sleep whatsoever. It's not just one night, it's every night. I've been up to 3 days without sleep before. All the time I hear people complaining about going to sleep after an hour but if I do manage to get to sleep, it's after I've been lying in my bed for 4 5 hours. CI think it's because I have so much going through my head, but I just can't stop thinking. I'm only 13 years old. Do I have it? And how do you cure it?
Cant sleep insomnia possibly?
Its been about two weeks and I can't sleep in my own room, I will lay there for hours upon hours till i give up and go lay on the couch where I was fine till now. When im in my room I get paranoid over fires. My mind will buzz about how the furnace right out side my room will catch fire and stuff. So I get scared and move to the front room where i've been fine. Now tonight I can't sleep I swear i keep seeing figures that I think its a demon. So now my mind is buzzing with the thoughts that a demon is going to cause bad things. Which im very scared right now just sitting in silence with is another thing that's not helping my sleeping. Im sorry if alot of that doesn't make sense. But I don't know whats wrong with me When my friend is here i will be fine falling asleep in my room but when im alone I can't sleep Its 5 30am and i've been up since 2pm and im wide awake Ever since this summer ive been having weird sleep habits and ive noticed I stay awake for about 18 20hours then sleep for 12 14hours. Im 15 female. I really don't know whats wrong with me and i want to know what it is so i can maybe get help, this is really starting to get annoying and i just want to sleep.

If someone refused to go to sleep at reasonable hours, then is it possible they have some form of insomnia. How does that work? Is there a way to change your sleep pattern? Going to sleep at 2 am in the morning everyday cannot be healthy.
Friend can't sleep? Insomnia?
My friend says he really can't sleep, he gets a few hours some nights but it takes him hours to get to sleep. He's been like this for a very long time. He's even tried sleeping pills and going to a doctor but nothings worked. Is this insomnia? I just want to give him some advice? Do you have any advice for him?

Hi guys. Okay so i'm 16 years old and i haven't been able to sleep through a full night since forever. I don't know whta to do, because it is really frustrating I will wake up about 3 4 sometimes 5 times a night to get up and go to the bathroom and get a drink of water, and sometimes i don't even have to go to the bathroom. The weird thing about it is though, that if i go to bed at 10 00 i will wake up about an hour and a half later to go to the bathroom. I've talked to my parent's about it and they just think i'm drinking too much water during the day it's hard not to drink as much water as i do and they won't take me in. And i'm not going to take pills because my parent's don't approve and either do I. I would just like to stop being tired all the time and sleep through one night. Please if anyone has any suggestions or comments, anything is appreciated. thank you so much
