Severe insomnia? what should i do?

Question: Severe insomnia? what should i do?

(Posted by: some girl on 2012-01-26 21:21:12)

I am 20 and I have really bad insomnia. I've had trouble falling to sleep since I was 12 it used to take me 2 or more hours back then. Then in high school it would take me 4 or more hours to sleep. Now it takes 6 or more hours and usually I only sleep every other day or get like 3 hours of sleep a night because of this. I'm always in an exhausted state but never tired enough to fall to sleep. When I do manage to fall to sleep I often experience sleep paralysis or wake up after only 2 or 3 hours of sleep and can't fall back to sleep. I don't know why this is happening to me. I am a healthy person. I don't drink or smoke, i never consume caffeine and i eat fairly healthy. Also I work out and go to college full time and work part time, so it's not like I'm sitting around all day I'm usually always active dong something but I never can fall to sleep. How can I fix this problem? I tried melatonin already but it doesn't help me at all.

First... try unplugging and getting in bed. Sounds simple, but it does help.

You can't keep running on so little sleep with the busy life you lead! I think it is time to go to the doctor and try a sleep remedy.
