I am 20 and I have really bad insomnia. I've had trouble falling to sleep since I was 12 it used to take me 2 or more hours back then. Then in high school it would take me 4 or more hours to sleep. Now it takes 6 or more hours and usually I only sleep every other day or get like 3 hours of sleep a night because of this. I'm always in an exhausted state but never tired enough to fall to sleep. When I do manage to fall to sleep I often experience sleep paralysis or wake up after only 2 or 3 hours of sleep and can't fall back to sleep. I don't know why this is happening to me. I am a healthy person. I don't drink or smoke, i never consume caffeine and i eat fairly healthy. Also I work out and go to college full time and work part time, so it's not like I'm sitting around all day I'm usually always active dong something but I never can fall to sleep. How can I fix this problem? I tried melatonin already but it doesn't help me at all. |
