Question: Which area of the brain does insomnia affect?

I know that it affects your memory and ability to consentrate but which part of the brain does it affect?

Most of the brain is actually involved. The brainstem plays a large part in sleeping and so does the cerebellum (small brain) (it controlls movement and conscienceness). I find my source very helpful.
