What are some good insomnia cures?
I've been off and on different medications for insomnia for three or so years. I'd change them because of different negative side effects with each one. I'm done with that experiment now I'm never doing sleep medication again. Just hate how drowsy they'd make me during the day.Problem is, insomnia still strikes somewhat often. Anyone know any good non medicinal cures or tips for combating sleeplessness?

i have tried everything i can think of to help me sleep. warm milk, exercise, reading, soft music, ambient music, aroma therapy and i still cannot sleep. i am normally awake until at least 4 AM and that is when i sometimes start to get tired. sometimes i don't sleep for several days. my doctor will not prescribe any sort of sleeping aid and i have tried over the counter aids and they do not work. i would rather use natural ways to help me sleep. any help would be grately appreciated

hi all, well its almost 6am here in london and i've managed about an hour sleep tonight. i feel shattered but just can't get to sleep. never had this problem before i'm a bit worried.all i hear is my heart beating and all sorts of random things floating around in my brain.i don't know whats up i don't feel stressed, i'm not drunk on drugs, i've not changed anything significant in my life like diet etc.apart from counting sheep ... any good ideas?

Whats the best remedies? Cheap ones may I add.I used to have insomnia quite bad and it would take me hours to get to sleep even if I was lying in bed. Recently Ive noticed that its started coming back, this time its more that I fall into a very light sleep and wake up very hour after that. Woke up at 9 this morning after only falling into a light sleep around 4.30, lay on for another 2hrs in the hope of getting back to sleep but no joy.So, has this happened to you and how did you get rid of it?

Hey, I have a problem which is messing up my life. I am taking my finals from college at the moment and I study for them so I know everything, then the night before the test I cant sleep so it ruins all my hard work because im so tired. Last night I slept at 6 and had to be up at 8 for an exam at 9. This is really upsetting and annoying because I work so hard then cant make myself sleep at night. Im not thinking about anything, I just cant seem to switch off my mind. I have tried sleeping tablets, no use, they just make me tired and unable to sleep. Does anybody have any ideas that can help me?
