What do you do if you have insomnia?
I usually can't get to sleep until 2 in the morning every night. I'm not worrying or being excited. I've tried listening to white noise and taking medicine. I have tried listening to music and drinking warm things. Nothing seems to work and I'm loosing sleep because I wake up at 5 in the morning. What do I do?
Antidepressants causing insomnia?
I started taking Celexa about two weeks ago for depression and I feel like it's making me feel better but it's also causing me to wake up in the middle of the night and have a REALLY hard time getting back to sleep. I usually wake up at 3AM and sometimes I just don't get back to sleep at all and just end up getting up. Or it'll take a me an hour or two. But I have no problem getting to sleep, I just wake up. Will this side effect wear off? Should I just stop taking it? I'm getting really exhausted, I haven't had a decent night's sleep in what feels like forever.
What to do when no one pays attention to my insomnia?
I'm 16 and right now I've been up for 2 days with a half hour of sleep which happened in the locker room of my high school.I used to have trouble sleeping when i was little but it just took a long time for me to fall asleep not me not falling asleep all together.I've struggled with depression and self mutilation in the past but I haven't thought about being sad or burning myself when I can sleep but when I can't I just lie in bed with my thoughts and think about everything that's wrong with my life and how I'm going to fail at all my future exploits and how worthless I am. I get really sad and I feel like I hear people calling my name like shouting it when no one is actuallymy mom wont listen and thinks natural medicine will help which it isnt

Curing(or at least relieving) insomnia?
Okay so, I don''t really sleep at night, or if I do it's for a very short period of time, I've kind of got used to it but it seems to be affecting my mental capabilities, I've started to forget what I was saying mid sentence, or go off on random surreal tangents and it's affecting my school work .I don't really know the causes of it so I can't fix them easily and sleeping pills are out parents would never allow it , so does anyone know any other ways of relieving insomnia? Thanks in advance
I have a lot of stress, insomnia, etc...?
I'm 14 years old canadian , still in high school, decent grades, happy with it. One problem that i dread every day is that i am all ways under a constant. and heavy load of stress, and the only time I can help it is before i go to bed, meditation. So i sit still for about an hour after ending all of my projects despite my age, i'm doing researched for medical evolution and i'm also leading individual and diverse projects via internet Fighting SOPA, CMA, ACTA, etc , Consider me a man of multiple values. In that hour, i think about stuff, i think about what i did wrong today, what i could have done and today, i've found out why i'm that stressed A teenager should not have to study politics, microbiology while still trying to maintain social norms. There's a reward for that, I'm respected, a lot, People in my little village are still wondering how I can get that involved, that social, and still get a reasonable amount of sleep, well here's how I practically do not sleep I don't know if i should keep this up, so i've found 3 options 1 I keep my current life, Involved and educated, socially popular, stressed and insomniac2 Change around, Involved and educated, loner, Rested and peaceful3 Change everything around and become a typical teen Ignorant, neet, social and rested. My parents don't care for me, they pay my food, my scholarship and has long has i don't bother them, they are perfectly okay for me, has a child, i had ny bed stories, but that's probably for the best My brother saw me decaying in my corner and raised me like his own, he didn't sugar coat the world for me, i sorta took a bite in raw shit like some people might say, i'm just has mature has anyone else on here. probably even more. one last thing, i may be socially implicated, but i don't have a girlfriend, and i think my body needs a little... massive dose of affection. How can i fix everything up?Researches, i'm sorry

Frequent urination, insomnia, and joint pain? HELP!!!!?
Hello I am a 51 year old female. I have had hysterectomy 10 years ago.For 4 5 years I have been urinating frequently. Now I have to go the bathroom because I feel an urge to pee every hour. I have to get up once in the middle of the night because I feel an urge. I tried not drinking before I sleep but it's no use.I have found that taking an Omega 3 pill makes me feel an urge strongly. I am not sure if this is related.I also have had trouble sleeping. When something wakes me up in the middle of the night then I can't go back to sleep at all. Right now I am having trouble finding a job so that might be why. I have taken all sorts of medication and it's not working very well. Plus I don't want to get dependent on medication to go to sleep.I am currently taking a statin pill to control my blood cholesterol and I took high blood pressure medication for few years but now after my weightloss I don't have to take it anymore.I have also noticed that my joints swell fingers and hurt and my body just swells up after I exercise or work.Is there something wrong with my kidneys? I have no other health issues other than a benign small tumor around my thyroid gland which I have to get it checked again soon . I also had my mammogram last year.I feel depressed and I really want some help. I am not in a good financial situation right now so I would prefer to go to a doctor when I have a good idea of what is wrong with me. If there is any advice I would really appreciate it. Thank you
Is it insomnia that I have?
I use to be able to sleep like a baby, but almost a year ago my dad died which took a toll pretty hard on me, and marital problems happened.. but that happened about 4 months ago.. and all of a sudden for the past 2 weeks I never get tired, I stay up really late.. and even have to force myself to go to sleep.. and wake up really early in the morning.. I was wondering if this is insomnia and if so how do I cure it? Or any help at all would be great, thank you for taking the time to read this respond

Is there something like "temporary" Insomnia?
Hi people. Okay, so lately, I've been having trouble sleeping. Including a " fear" of going to bed, and if when my body does let me go to sleep, I usually wake up and can't sleep for about 4 5 hours. This only happens about half the time I go to sleep hence my question " temporary" insomnia I'm only like 12. SO, I'm not sure if this is like a growing thing, or something?Just wondering< 3 thankyou.
Insomnia or temporary sleeping problems?
For quite a while now I've been having trouble sleeping. My sleeping schedule always falls into one of these three categories. 1 I fall asleep quickly but wake up multiple times throughout the night2 I can't fall asleep right away takes about 45 minutes to an hour but I sleep through the night3 I fall asleep quickly and sleep through the whole night, but have weird creepy vivid dreams This has been going on for a while now and it's disrupting the rest of my day cause I don't feel rested at all. I get around 7 hours of sleep on school nights and about 9ish hours on weekends. But no matter how many hours of sleep I get, I don't feel rested. I find myself really tired around 2 pm to 6 pm. I've also been pretty irritable lately and little things annoy me, which I just assume is from not sleeping well. My mind is always racing. I can't shut it off. Even while trying to sleep, I'm always thinking about something. It never used to affect how I slept though. Now I think it's starting to affect how I sleep more. I'm losing my concentration easily and find myself daydreaming in class more than listening. I brought this up with my mom and she said she was the same way when she was my age. She chalked it up to stress and my inability to truly relax. Does all of that sound like insomnia, or does it just sound like temporary sleeping problems that are related to stress and my inability to relax? Thanks.
Does This Seem Like Insomnia...?
I'm 13 years old and I'm usually up until 2 30 every night, even when there's school the next day. I don't try to stay up, I don't even do anything. All I'll do is sit there and think. During the days I'm always very groggy and slow. I have dark circles under my eyes, and my science teacher sent me down to the nurse once because I couldn't keep my head up in his class, no matter how hard I tried. I even fell asleep in his class once. He walked over and tapped me on the head, and I nearly screamed he'd woken me from a nightmare... day mare? . My math teacher also commented on it, and a boy in my class said I looked dead. I can't sleep, and when I do, it doesn't do anything It's taking an impact on my grades as well. It started in sixth grade I'm now in eighth , and since then I went from an A student to a struggling C almost D student. What do you think? Insomnia or no?
