What to do about insomnia please please help me!?
I am at my wits end I need to know how to get to sleep I am planning on going to the doctor on Monday but I am in tears I am so irritated For the past few months I haven't been getting to sleep until at least 3 in the morning sometimes later than that and my daughter wakes me up for the day at 8 am. My partner started a new job and I have to get up at 6 am to take her so I get maybe 2 hours of sleep before driving 30 mins to take her to work. By time we get home around 7 am I only get like 1 2 more hours of sleep. Sometimes I nap with my daughter but a one hour nap just makes me more tired so I try not to nap during the day in hopes that I will be tired early and actually get sleep. I have been nauseous all day and only eating maybe one small meal a day due to that i think I may be pregnant so I think the stress of not knowing if I am pregnant, not eating well, and getting pretty much no sleep. Is there any way I can get to sleep earlier? I am waiting to go to the doc until monday because I will hopefully find out if I am preggo on Saturday and I don't wanna get any meds to help if I am pregnant. I am so exhausted, please help me
Questions about insomnia, look in addition details for questions.?
A few questions about insomnia im weird like that okay lol , so i know that Our sleep wake cycle is regulated by a " circadian clock" in our brain and the body's need to balance both sleep time and wake time.Question is, does insomnia cause this " circadian clock" to disappear? or does it not function correctly? Can a small case of insomnia just be When it is hard to sleep and you only get 2 3 hours at a time, only because you worry of things i do this sometimes i believe that's just a normal human behavior, correct? Also, Teens internal biological clocks also keep them awake later in the evening and keep them sleeping later in the morning. So, the question stands, does it just not function properly? Last thing, Difficulty falling asleep is just one of four symptoms generally associated with insomnia. The others include waking up too early and not being able to fall back asleep, frequent awakenings, and waking up feeling unrefreshed. Insomnia can be a symptom of a sleep disorder or other medical or psychological psychiatric problem, and can often be treatedNot to be too personal, but if it comes mainly or can stem from a psychological problem such as depression then, do you the answerers have one of these problems?

A friend of mine has had trouble sleeping for a while now. She claims that she hasn't slept at all since December. Do you think she has insomnia? What do you think are some ideas I can suggest to help her get a good night's rest? Is there anything else besides what a doctor can prescribe? Thanks in advance. R

What to do about Insomnia?
Well it's now 5am in the UK, and i'm still wide awake. I'm a 17 year old boy, and this cannot continue much longer. I have college on tuesday, and last night i didn't get to sleep until 7am that's when about a year ago i would wake up for school. These days, i get basically 2 hours sleep before college and fight the fatigue until i get home and can go to bed. I do exercise on a regular basis. Also i smoke, which usually helps me, because i can have a cigarette which spaces me out a bit and makes it easier to fall asleep, this no longer works. I have a bit of anxiety and things, i don't know if Insomnia and the latter are related or whatever.Basically, this is pissing me off now, what should i do?Just to add this is not something that's risen in the past few weeks, i have been like this for like a year . This is my normal sleeping pattern, 6am 3pm when i'm not in college, when i'm in college it goes something like 6am 8am college bed, i'll go to the doctors i think .
